Clavalithes Macrospira

Clavalithes Macrospira

Found on the beach between the sea and the cliff, between the high and low tide mark, found by William Armes aged 9.

While I was digging arround the cliff edge with my other son peter my younger son William won the price for best fossil found on the beach that day.

Fossils can make interesting art projects. Pen and ink or pencil sketches.

Durdle Door

Came across this image on the internet and will make a picture of it at some point.

I would have put the source but I cannot find it at the moment. I shall have to go down to Durdle  Door and photograph it myself so that I can replace the image

Sunset over Cornwall Coast

A Sunset over the Cornwall Coast 2010.

This image has not be touched by a photo editng program.

Beaches of Cornwall

A photograph of a beach in Cornwall in early summer 2010. This image has not been digitally altered or messed about with in photoshop. When you look at a digital image on a computer it is hard to tell if the scene is real or has been so called improved.

I search the Internet for photographs to use in my hobby art projects and I find lots of wonderful images of seascapes and landscapes but many of them have be altered too much for me to use.

Spring Flowers

Spring Flowers. A digital photo taken in the spring of 2010. Somewhere in Dorset. Cranbourne Chase.

The image might make a nice picture. These flowers came late due to a cold winter and snow fall. We don't get snow in Dorset very often these days.

Hengistbury Head art project

http://www.courtenaysfineart.com/John_Dimech.html searching through google images looking for image references for Hendistbury Head I came accross an image of a water colour picture I might copy, sorry, not copy, use as inspiration, sounds better, I'm not trying to copy I am using it as a starting point to do my own work. John Dimech has some nicw work available on the internet and through galleries.

I am at the moment looking for a image of hengistbury head to use to make a picture onto canvas board, I am going to try using softpastel and maybe coloured pencil and pen and ink. Bit of a mix, some times it works and some times it looks, never mind, wheres the bin I might need it later.
